Sorry to hear that. I was having lunch with Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon and heard the news from him on Sunday. We were very HOT about this matter too…..

Such a big mess. That’s why sometimes using computer system is dangerous… upload the wrong file and nobody will know the mistake.

I hope your sister will be able to start her studies soon, and hope this will not happen again in the future!

Just last year, it was a tough call whether to choose USM or UPM to be upgraded to an APEX university. Unfortunately, UPM failed because of its staffs who don’t know much about what exactly is APEX university.

But now that USM is an APEX university, why would problems occur even in the most basic things like intake of students? They said it’s technical problem, and now, they say it’s human error. Whatever it is, I can help but to wonder if it is a step taken on purpose.

Problems occur, i understand. But this is an intake of thousands of students. It simply cannot be done by only one person, there must be a department involved. And so it rings the bell, why human error occurs when there are so many humans involved?

Anyway, good luck to your sis. But the reality is, if she cannot get into local university, there are so many other options like private colleges, or studying abroad. Whatever it is, please do not give up on your studies…
