Hey bro, I really feel tulan eventhough thats not me. I would really go and whack him if. If.

plagiarism is a very serious crime nowadays. But I’m wondering what do we bloggers have to protect ourselves against this? What do we do if this happens? I mean like there’s no online police or United Online Nation or ISA(internet security act) or what shit. There just none.

This happens quite frequently. Sometimes is done manually and sometimes is done by scraper programs.

It is something quite serious especially for blogs and websites. I heard that Google will penalize websites for having duplicate content, so this affects your PageRank.

We should never be happy for people to copy our stuff. Refer to us and link to us, ok. Copy, never.

As for the person who copied your stuff because he was too lazy to type… I will tell him that he has no business starting a blog. Better work at photostat shop la.

My blog is being plagiarized too by a free blogspot user. In order to complain and get the offending blog removed I saw that A LOT of things are required to file an official complain.

I see liao also feel lazy to do that, sien. One thing you can do is to watermark your posts with a siggy (image type better) linking to your blog, so it’d appear also in the copycat’s.

penang tuapui – Next time, I will ask your help to silence the plagiarist. :)

Kuen Hoong – that fella copy the whole articles which included a link to my other post. That link backtrack to my blog. That’s how I get to know the copycat fella.

TNH- ya la.. but he didn’t stated my blog’s name ler.

Jordan – Thanks for left comment on this blog. Yup you are right. In this country, there is ISA ( Internal Security Act) not the Internet Security Act. Else, I will sue plagiarist. Wakakaaa.a…

blah blah king – tulan is already tulan la. Where got happily tulan one? :P

Adino – well said. I should have tell him to open photostat shop. hehehe.. oh.. thanks for making comment over here.

vkeong – ic.. but what is siggy? mind to share? I’m still young in this blogging things.

At least you are luckier than me, you received an apology from the person.

A few of my post were copied together with all my yummy food photos altogether. I wrote to the person to have it all remove, just what… I did not even receive any apology and the posts are still there until today :( :(

ahh, teruk. I experienced the same type of plagiarism experience before. Contact the person and request that those posts be taken out usually solves the problem.

How would you consider the whole post being copied but translated in different languages? I had mine in German and Japanese before but I did nothing as both of them were courteous enough to leave me a link each.

You just can’t stop people from plagiarizing anything from the net. Even using Wikipedia as reference without linking back to them as acknowledgment is considered plagiarism. How many people really take that seriously nowadays? Haiz…
