Petrol price down by 15 sen and diesel down by 8 sen
After more than 2 months since the 40 percent jump for fuel price, today the government announced petrol price will go down by 15 sen to RM 2.55 per litre and diesel from RM2.58 to RM2.50 as reported in Malaysiakini.
Why make the announcement on today when Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi have reiterated that petrol prices would not be cut before 1st Sept?
This announcement must be due to the Permatang Pauh by-election. If not, the government will not act so fast. No doubt, the price decreases will lessen my burden a bit but I am not too happy with PM flip-flopping style. Besides that, I truly believe the cabinet brought this proposal forward to fish for votes in this coming by-election.
I hope the voters in the Permatang Pauh will use their vote wisely. It is time to look at the bigger picture not at the petty issues.

The price increases was for the benefit of the biodiesel interest group of which the “UMNOputras” have a high vested interest.
It’s not about the global price of fuel that is directing the fuel increases.
At the prices promulgated, it is now profitable for the biodiesel to sell in the Malaysian market with minimum production and distribution costs.
Watch out for the expected hugh increase in prices of palm-oil based cooking oil. Supply will no longer match demand.
Sime Darby, Felda, Golden Hope, etc…. will be laughing all the way to the banks.
And the government have the audacity to claim the dastardly “30% ‘bumiputra’ share-ownership in the economy” has not been achieved yet?
This government is nothing but a robber robbing “Peter to pay Paul”. “Paul” being their UMNO people of course!
Malaysia and UMNO is a “pirate ship”!

But its Umno and BN who are the actual pirates, these fellows are the real robbers and they do not wear mask. With PP election around, the BN regime has announce a price reduction on the fuel to garner as much votes as they can. The petrol price has been down for the past nearly one month, but the bloodly BN takes its own sweet time to reduce the price.Lets boot this BN regime out and get PR in.!!!!
