The skills between Chong Wei and Lin Dan is very close but it was the confident levels that brought Lin Dan the gold medal in Beijing 2008 Olympics.

A check thru the net bring me to this video clip on the ways Chong Wei tame Lin Dan in the semi final of 2008 Thomas Cup. Watch the video clip and please comment the differences in Chong Wei and Lin Dan performances in Olympics 2008 compared to the Thomas Cup match.

Confidence and pressure-handling is what separates this two. they are in the world of their own in terms of skill, speed, and fitness. Chong Wei plays a safer game while Lin Dan goes for the kill all the time. Both playing styles has their pros and cons. At the end of the day, its still down to these two terms for them: confidence,pressure-handling.
