Ever since I was born in this lovely country – Malaysia, I have get used to the words- Barisan Nasional. It is a coalition of parties comprise UMNO, MCA, MIC, Gerakan and 14 other small component parties.

Little did I know, Indonesia has a political party with the same name until I came across a truck carrying the party logo and name – Partai Barisan Nasional in Bandung downtown. Partai is literally translated to party. In Malaysia, we called it parti, minus the a.

Guess…Barisan Nasional is a famous words. But will both parties survive in the coming years?
