Some of you may know that I’m feng shui ‘fansee’. I have been feng shui practitioner for the past 7 years, if my memory serves me right. In year 2002, I bought a dragon tortoise and subsequently my luck, wealth and career changed.
I was never a feng shui believer until someone told me there is no harm to try it out. Soon, I tested with the dragon tortoise with some basic feng shui I learn from Lilian Too and Joey Yap. Amazingly, things changed from good to great. Ever since then, I try to practice feng shui whenever I can but I find it a bit tedious at times as well.
The other thing that interest me is Bazi. Bazi literally means “8 characters” in Chinese, it’s a system of metaphysical knowledge for predicting the future of an individual. In the West, it’s more popular known as Four Pillars of Destiny.
BaZi translates our birth data – Year , Month , Day and Hour of birth into four pairs of distinct Chinese Characters (called Jia Zi). Four pairs make Eight Characters (or BaZi). Each pair is also known as a pillar, hence the term Four Pillars. The eight characters are made up of the yin and yang variations of the Five Elements . By analyzing the structure, compatibility, clashes, combinations and inter-relations of these eight characters, we can learn much about our nature and our life path. An individual can make use of this information to accelerate his performance in work, strengthen his or her relationships with others, improve weaknesses, maximize talents and potentials, and make informed decisions based on forecasts of his or her upcoming cycle of luck.
Understanding our BaZi (our Eight Characters) helps us deal with uncertainties and allows us to understand our strengths and weaknesses in life. Understanding of BaZi is also needed to perform proper Feng Shui prescriptions or remedies. Factors such as luck are often indomitable and not within our grasp. BaZi analysis is designed to help us understand the cycles of luck and possibly understand how it influences our lives. – http://www.dragon-gate.com/resources/articles/display.asp?id=84
The last time I had my Bazi read to me was many years ago. And in months of Jan, I decided to go for another one. This time at Air Itam, Penang by Master Lee. I came across Master Lee after google on fengshui consultation in Penang. According to his blog, he was a former engineer and manager in MNC.
I find him a person who is down to earth, calm and helpful. Just check out his website at www.penangfengshui.com or his blog at http://penangfengshui.blogspot.com/.
The year of 2009 is a tough year and with little help from feng shui master such as Master Lee, I believed our life will be better.
That’s the reason why I get myself a Pi Yao from him yesterday.

I love your blog. Well done.
