Good news.

From 1st August onwards, for those vehicle owners who have purchased or renew their road tax from 1 April 2008 until 31 March 2009, you can start to claim your cash rebate online via PosOnline. PosOnline is the Phase III Cash Rebate implementation introduced by the government after the recent fuel price hike.

My car road tax will due in Oct only. So you guys go ahead to apply cash rebate thru online and let me know whether the system works. Sigh! Definitely the cash rebate is not enough to cover the escalating cost of goods and services. I am wondering whether the prices of goods and services will increase as much as 40% !

Anyway, just read the below and stop worrying like me.

ELIGIBILITY

The criteria for eligibility are as follows:
Malaysian citizen who is the private registered owner of vehicles

Vehicle owners who had their road tax renewed and with effective date from 1st April, 2008 till 31st March 2009

Vehicles that run on petrol or diesel

Limited to a maximum of 5 vehicles per owner depending on the vehicle types and engine capacity.

MODE OF PAYMENT
The eligible private vehicle owners shall receive their rebates in the form of :
Money Order (receive within seven(7) working days)

Transfer to owner bank’s account (paid within three(3) working days)

PROCEDURES

The private vehicle owners are required to:
Log in with your Username and Password.

Go to Cash Rebate Online and click on Cash Rebate.

Key in your Car Registration No and other information required

Select Mode of Payment either Money Order or Bank Account from the list then click “Next”

Fill in the necessary information and click ‘Next’.

Verify the information shown on the next screen, click ‘Confirm’.

The status and details of your transaction will appear. Print the receipt for your future reference.
