Last month, my friends and I visited Chin Swee Caves temple when we were on our way down to KL after had a night stay in First World at Genting Highlands.

Frankly speaking, that trip was my first time set foot in Chin Swee Caves temple even though I have visited Genting Highlands numerous times.

Chin Swee Caves Temple is about 5 to 10 minutes drive down from First World Hotel and is situated on a rocky forested land. The land was donated by the late Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Lim Goh Tong who is a devotee of the Reverend Chin Swee.
Chin Swee Caves Temple was officially opened on 29 March 1994 after about 18 years of hard work in manually digging the foundation of the temple and work in such a risky environment. The main attraction is the Reverend Chin Swee statue which somehow I didn’t take a notice. What a waste.

At the temple site, one can pray to Buddha and Kwan Yin whose statues are stand high and tall.

A closer look at the Buddha statue.

Kwan Yin statue.

Within the site, there is a nine-storey Pagoda which was decorated with many figurines of the Buddha and inside the Pagoda are thousand of ‘blessing lamps’.

There is a large square named Sky Terrace for visitors and devotees to walk around to enjoy the view.

Is the square ‘Sky Terrace’ a beautiful place? I love this view. Somehow, I get peace by just looking at the ‘Sky Terrace’ from this angle.

Within the square, is a statue of Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong which was erected by the Genting Group in honour of his leadership in developing Genting Highlands.

I can’t read the mandarin words on the plaque behind the statue. Anyone mind to translate for me?

Around the square, one can find several statues on the life of Chinese characters.

What do you call the above Chinese characters? I really don’t know…

Fu Lou Shou? Sorry…I am reall a ‘banana man’ but I love to see the above statues. I just don’t know why..
There are some carvings on the stone wall near to the Buddha statues as well.

I took the opportunity to take a photo of myself and the statue as well.
Oh yeah… you can find how does the hell look like in Genting as well.
Scary…now is the month of the hungry ghost…….!
