I have heard a lot about the uniqueness of having lunch or dinner at Kampung Daun Restaurant but never have the opportunity until last weekend. We arrived at Kampung Daun after stopover at Tangkuban Perahu and the so called kebun bunga area.
Kampung Daun is located at Jalan Sersan Bajuri KM 47 No.88, Lembang, Bandung, Indonesia.
This place really caught me off guard. I mean I never expect such anĀ environment for a restaurant. Eating in forest is not a big deal for me but to have meal in a restaurant located inside a forest, in such an open area made me so happy.

The place definitely looks a bit mysterious for me when I first arrived. I just didn’t know what to do and didn’t know where to sit. The place is so huge. Just take a look at the entrance. Do you know where to sit?

As we went further in, we came across this signboard shows Kampung Daun – Gallery Culture Cafe. We stop awhile to take some pictures with this lovely, wooden sign board.

Our driver kept pushing us to move forward. And I kept saying WOW…WOW…WOW..to myself.
It is simply amazing and it’s my luck to discover such a wonderful place to eat in Bandung.

Isn’t this is a lovely place to sit and enjoy your meal? Inside a village hut.

One can even sleep inside the small hut by pulling down the white curtain.

The path that leads us to our small hut.

Pass by a stream.

Another lovely village hut.

Gigantic bamboo on top of the restaurant.

Artificial waterfall. I love to sit near the waterfall, just to hear the sound. So peaceful.

Further up to our small hut. Passing thru different style of hut.

A different view of the Kampung Daun.

This is the place where we eat.

A nice view from our hut.
We ordered 3 dishes to share among ourselves. Take a look at the pictures.

This is the Ayam Bakar Bumbu Bali – Grilled marinated kampung chicken with rice folded banana leave, cracker and lalab,

Gurame Bakar Sambal Kecap – Grilled fish with soy sauce

Nasi Liwet Parahyangan – Traditional steamed rice.

Overview of all the dishes that we ordered. The foods definitely not as good as we thought. The environment is much much better than the foods itself. But some people mentions the sirloin steak is not bad. I’ll try that next time if I have a chance.

I can tell you the best mango juice ( ahemm.. I love mango a lot) I ever taste is from Kampung Daun. So thick and so yummy…. Just think about it, makes my saliva coming out…
To sum up, Kampung Daun is a nice place to dine especially at night but the foods need to improve to match the environment.
Kampung Daun is definitely one of the treasures of Bandung.

Sam, This setting reminds me of the traditional royal gazebo may be in the era of Parameswara
You really made me feel like going to Bandung!!!
