Hi Sam. Great blog you have over here! Kudos! Btw, wanna ask you how much does the room cost you? It does fit 4 persons right?

Just 4 u – Grand Serela Hotel is indeed a very neat and clean hotel.

Steven – It costs me Rp825,000/unit/nite during weekend and Rp725,000/unit/nite on weekdays.

That translates to RM 298 and RM 262 respectively.

Hmmm, icic.. Do you have any other good recommendation for accommodation, probably like the guesthouse which is cheaper?

Steven,

Maybe you can surf the net for Hotel Cemerlang though not a guesthouse. I heard it’s cheaper but neat and nice too.

Elle,

I call the hotel directly to make my reservation. A day before your arrival, call them again to confirm.

Could you pls tell me how to make local calls using the sim card I’ll be purchasing when I arrive in Bandung. I want to call for taxi (Bluebird) and book for spa services at Dago. Can you call for taxi and have them pick you up fr the hotel or outside factory outlets? How far is Serela from Rumah Mode?

suhz, I’m not so sure on the sim card. Maybe you can check with the SIM Card seller..

Yes, you can call the taxi and pick you up from the hotel..Check out my post at http://www.samyeap.com/blue-bird-group-taxi-lam-jiao-taxi-in-jakarta/. It’s applicable in Bandung too.

Serela is definitely not near to Rumah Mode but it will takes you around 15mins or 20mins to reach Rumah Mode without traffic jam if my memory serves me right.

Thanks. Can’t wait. Will be going next Tues (28/4) for 4 days. Got myself a std room at serela for Rp595K/day. I called direct to make reservations as you advised and I must say their reservation officer, Rini, speaks very fluent English. Can’t wait to check out the spa treatment at the Chic vintage spa. Heard good reviews about the place. Will share more when I get back.

Hi Sam Yeap. Need you advise, I’m planning to go Bandung in Oct. Which hotel is suitable for me if I’m looking for hotel close to shopping areas, near to the food outlets (easy to get walking distance)…I checked thru the website and in my list either Grand Serela, Sukajadi, Aston Tropicana, Aston Bandung, Grand Seriti.
Room & hotel should be clean. Any ideal about the Aston Tropicana? From the website hotel seems like good location…Hope you could come back to me with some advise…

My family of 5 will be going to Bandund early June and we booked Grand Serela Grand Room through Indonesian agent – Pak Rahmat for Rp 660 K per nite, definitely cheaper than booking dierctly with hotel. They quoted Rp 900K for Grand Room like the one Sam stayed. Pak Rahmat is recommended by one of the Trip Advisor members – May . Let me know if you want his contact number

Zeta Said,

Yes I need to e-mail address of Pak Rahmat. I got the rates from Grand Serela Hotel for Grand Room Rp990K for weekend which is higher then the rates you got from the local agent haah ! Then, it is better for me to book directly with Pak Rahmat then. But how do you pay to the agent ? The price they quoted to you is it inclusive Airport Trsf? Because the rates hotel quoted to me is inclusive free airport trsf as well.

So Sam Yeap, both hotels also recommended either Grand Serela or Grand Seriti (close to FO).
What about Aston Tropicana & Aston Hotel is this hotel good and near to FO. My short list for the hotel currently either Grand Seriti, Aston Tropicana, Aston Hotel & Grand Serela. I’m looking for hotel close to FO, Shopping, walking distance to get food & nice room/ hotel. All the while I’m also cheaking thru Travel Advisor.
Hope you could assist me..TQ
