Do you have headache to choose an affordable and nice place to stay in Siem Reap?
Then look no more. Bou Savy Guesthouse is the right choice for you. I booked a room with 3 beds for 4 nights at Bou Savy Guesthouse with www.hostelworld.com during my trip there in late January 2008 with my other 2 friends. Each of us paid USD 6 per night, total up to USD 18 per night per room.
Bou Savy was located at N 261, Group 17, Taphul Village, Svay Dangkum Commune, off from the main road and away from the tourist area. It was a good place to relax and rest as I enjoyed the lush greenery, windy air and the sound of nature. Besides that, it was 10 or 15 minutes away from the tourist area only- old market and bar area.
The owner is Horn Bovuth. If I am not mistaken, I met him 3 times throughout my stay there. He was a nice guy who smiles a lot, very friendly and honest too!
The staff made my friends and I felt at home during our stay at Bou Savy Guesthouse. Nothing beat an excellent service. When we arrived at Siem Reap airport, we were greeted by the tuk tuk driver. A friendly guy.

He helped to carry the bags for the ladies and leaving me alone… Haaa… but it was ok for me. After all, he had 2 bags with him already.

We met this lady at the restaurant on our first day. She was very helpful throughout our stay at Bou Savy Guesthouse. Oh yeah, the breakfast at the restaurant is free. Excellent breakfast.

Lastly, our handsome, car driver – Mr Ket Sarith who was so charming. He did his best to make us feel comfortable and enjoy our 5 days trip in Siem Reap. If you need to look for a car driver to bring you around Siem Reap then email him at ketsarith_angkor@yahoo.com or call him at (855)12694121. 2 thumbs up for him! Too bad we didn’t manage to take a photo of him. Generally, all the staff there are lovely, friendly and helpful.
We were given a welcome drinks, a mixed fruit shake as well by the staff upon arrival. The taste is not bad at all!

This is how the room in Bou Savy Guesthouse looked like. The whole room was very reddish because of the curtains but at night, you will not be seeing this anymore.

What matters the most the place is clean. The staff made our bed every day, never failed. Don’t trust me? Take a look at the below picture. This picture was taken on our 2nd day in Siem Reap, after touring the temples in the morning.

Clean corridor.
There were books, newspaper, magazines that left over by travelers for you to read.
All in all, the place is very affordable for backpackers.

Value for money!
Friendly and helpful staff!
Clean and comfortable room!
To the staff of Bou Savy Guesthouse,
thanks a lot!

OOO…..damn I feel like going there now
