Charity comes from the heart

End of last year, I joined a reputable charity organization to help the homeless in Penang.

I came across the organization from one of my primary schoolmate. I was told about it before my trip to US. Upon my returned to Penang, I asked to join. I wanted to help because it’s a noble thing to do. I do not want to sit at home doing something only for myself. All I want is to have a more meaningful life which is to contribute in whatever ways I can to the society.

On my first day, which was on Wednesday night around 10.30pm my friend fetched me to the gathering place. I was excited to meet the volunteers. I even told myself they are good guys. I was happy to join them. After some prayers and briefing, we went around the town to distribute the foods and drinks donated by noblemen to the homeless.

I can see the homeless faces very close for the  first time. The place they stay, the clothes they wear, their body odour and the way they speak to me was something that I have never come across before. Most of them just sleep along the corridor of shops around the town. Some sleep in their trishaw with dogs. They not only taking care of themselves but animals. Some are old, young and handicapped too.

I must admit I have a bit of fear during my first distribution. Fear that I may do it wrongly or scold by the homeless people. At that time, I didn’t know how the homeless people will react. Slowly and gradually, I find myself engaging with them without fear. In fact, I was happy to see them with the foods given.

From that day onwards, almost every week I follow my new friends going thru the same distribution route. We happily distributing the foods to the homeless until after midnight. It was a joy to hear the homeless people to say thanks every time we give them the foods and drink. However, right before the CNY, I stopped joining them as I was busy with my house renovation.

Little did I know that during my absent an incident happened that dampen the spirit of doing charity. I was told that some volunteers were asked to leave for not buying the organization T- Shirt. They were told to leave for fear the police will stop and catch them for distributing foods without any organization T Shirt. And the manner they were asked to buy the T-Shirt were incorrect. It sounded like a force rather than in a polite and correct way. I was dumbfounded upon hearing it. Speechless – that is what I have to say.

IN my mind I was thinking.

1) The volunteers are spending their time to help to distribute the foods and drinks. Moreover, it’s in late evening and they stay far away from town. They have even donated foods and drinks before. Why must chase away people who has heart to help due to small issue, in this case just a piece of t-shirt?

2) Why can’t compromise to settle the issue and give an opportunity to volunteers to serve?

3) Will police really catch those distributing foods without a valid organization? I have seen people distributing foods at night without proper attire. AND they have been doing that for quite some time.

4) Why there is no proper heart to heart talk in asking those who reluctant to buy the t-shirt? IS using force and chasing volunteers away will help?

IF what was told is true, I hope that person gets enlighten and aware of the mistake done. Repent and apologies. Be humble not arrogant. Be polite not harsh.

One has to remember that doing charity is not for showing off. It must comes from the heart. Not for yourself but for the deserving ones. Be it poor, homeless, sick, elders, children or handicapped.

Let’s pray.

After Hoover Dam, we were at Las Vegas Premium Outlets. It’s at South Grand Central Parkway. We used GPS to direct us to the place. You can get a set of GPS from the rental car company or bring yours along. You will never get lost with it in US.

DSC_0207

There are plenty of store for you to shop. Be it designer fashions, children, shoes, fine leather, accessories, gift items and services.

I bought a number of items from here, most notably Nautica, Armani Exchange, Banana Rapublic, Columbia, GAP, Kenneth Cole, Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Timberland and of course the branded bag- Coach. These are a few of the branded stuff that I bought. The list of store is HERE.

The prices are cheap compared to what you will get in Malaysia even after currency conversion. I bought a shirt of Nautica which costs me US25 after tax. It’s about RM80 which is still cheaper than in Malaysia.

DO remember to go to information counter to get booklet for discount for selected store with term and conditions attached. Once you are at the selected store, just checked on the discount offers in the booklet. If the discount suits you, shows the booklet to the counter before purchase. They will sign off on the booklet and provides the discount for you.

Occasionally, you will get standalone discount offers by selected stores. It’s an additional discount. Means its a discount on top of the original discount. Example :- 50% plus 10%. Sometimes, you will get discount coupon for the day. I had a 20% discount coupon for Coach Bag when I was there.

Once you are done with the shopping, you can rest at the food store for food and drink before depart. Las Vegas Premium Outlet is one my top choice of shopping outlets in US besides Cabazon Premium Outlets, Los Angeles and Anthem Factory Outlets, Phoenix.

Happy Shopping!

Mid of last year, I was lucky to be among a group of people to go to US for transition program. We were in Phoenix, Arizona and our first outstation journey was to Las Vegas.

On the way to Las Vegas, we dropped by Hoover Dam. It is situated between the state of Arizona and Nevada.

We departed very early in the morning and it took us around 4 or 5 hours to reach the dam if I am not mistaken. The road to Hoover Dam from Phoenix is mostly long winding road but the scenery is very beautiful.

DSC_0138

Mountains are all over the places. The sky is blue. Cactus are plenty on both sides of the road. It was an eye opening for me to see so many cactus in my life. Big and very tall compared to what I have seen in Malaysia. Moreover, there are wild.

DSC_0140

Before arrive at Hoover Dam, we have to go thru the check point. There are many cars heading to Hoover Dam and I have to drive slowly. Once pass the check point, I heard helicopter sound not far from the dam. The moment we arrived at the dam, I quickly took out my camera to snap these precious photos.

DSC_0149

Never in my life, I have seen such a wonderful, beautiful and great dam. The amount of time, hard work, dedication, expertise in constructing Hoover Dam is beyond my imagination. Just google for the history of Hoover Dam and you will know what I am talking about. Smile

DSC_0151

This place is under heavy security surveillance since 911 incident. I am very sure the authority must have noticed me picking on my nose. Smile

DSC_0174

When I was there, they are building a bridge to allow cars to by pass Hoover Dam. At that time, the construction was still in progress. Same goes to the time when I was there on my second trip.

DSC_0180

The dam looks damn beautiful, isn’t it?

DSC_0195

If you have the chance to go to US for holiday or work, you must list Hoover Dam as one of your destination to visit.

Lately, I have been learning some basic fengshui and bazi from online, forums and some books I bought from book store. Somehow, I feel the urge to learn fengshui thru online more than from books.

Maybe it’s due to my unconventional way of learning. Most probably due to my Indirect Resource element. Anyway, let’s go back to fengshui. As some of you may notice, I have been following Master Lee’s blog www.penangfengshui.blogspot.com for quite some time.

Recently, he launched e-fengshui class that enable anyone at anywhere and at anytime to learn fengshui in more details. His first e-fengshui class preview titled, “How did Master Lee manage to predict the earthquake in Chile before it happened?” is shown as per below youtube video.

The e-fengshui class starts with basic understanding of the fengshui and move on to describe the space location; internal and external as well as the flow of Qi. Examples given are based on some of the residential and commercial area in Malaysia, which makes this e-fengshui class more practical and easy to understand.

To me, this e-fengshui class is as easy as ABC and you will not have difficulties to understand Master Lee’s explanation on fengshui.

Arm with this knowledge, one can try to DIY your house or office fengshui though the best way is to engage fengshui master like Master Lee  to give you an in depth understanding and explanation of your property fengshui.

So if you are curious on what is green dragon, white tiger, red phoenix, black turtle,  flying stars, where is the best location to sit in office, how to enhance your living room, kitchen, bedroom and numerous fengshui practical steps by steps – then don’t wait…

Just sign up as a member for free of charge and pay only USD 4.99 for 36mins e-fengshui class. So much of information and yet worthwhile…

Hence, try it out and share with me your view on Master Lee’s e-fengshui class at http://www.penangfengshui.com/index.php?pages=video_listing

Know a person through face reading

I just finished read Master Lee’s latest book titled “How to know a person through face reading?”. And I must say that this book is by far the easiest to understand among all face reading book I had ever read. Master Lee’s writing in simple English and his  lay man terms explanation certainly helped me to grab the knowledge instantly.

face reading penang

In this “How to know a person through face reading?” you will find answers on some of the common questions on face reading such as

1) on whether plastic surgery helps?

2) mole on the face. ( I had just removed a mole on my face on the advised of Master Lee. In fact, he told me to remove it months ago. )

3) how to get a rich man?

4) how to know whether a woman will emphasize sex as her priority?

and many more answers..……

The only reason I study face reading is to understand myself ( of course) and others. Face reading is very useful especially during business dealing and networking. I have been learning face reading for years but because I’m such a lazy person, I usually ended up learning a bit here and there.. :)

To those who are skeptical on face reading, grab the above book at book stores or go to www.penangfengshui.com , learn it and apply it. Then tell me what you think. Believed me, you will be amazed by the power of face reading..

If you are more into feng shui kind of thing, try Bazi by Master Lee.

A touching story……

Two days ago, I received an email at workplace and decided there and then to read it. I can say it’s the most touching story I ever read since many years ago.

The author is unknown to me but the way he wrote has certainly reminds me to strike a balance between working and personal life.

Hope you enjoy this piece of story….

===================================================
A story worth sharing

4 years ago, an accident took my beloved away and very often I wonder, how does my wife, who is now in the heavenly realm, feel right now? She must be feeling extremely sad for leaving a husband who is incapable to taking care of the house and the kid. ‘cos that is the exact feeling that I have, as I feel that I have failed to provide for the physical and emotional needs of my child, and failed to be the dad and mum for my child.
There was one particular day, when I had an emergency at work. Hence, I had to leave home whilst my child was still sleeping. So thinking that there was still rice leftovers, I hastily cooked an egg and left after informing my sleepy child.

With the double roles, I am often exhausted at work as well as when I am home. So after a long day, I came home, totally drained of all energy. So with just a brief hug and kiss for my child, I went straight into the room, skipping dinner. However, when I jumped into my bed with intention of just having a well-deserved sleep, all I heard and felt was broken porcelain and warm liquid! I flipped open my blanket, and there lies the source of the ‘problem’… a broken bowl with instant noodles and a mess on the bed sheet and blanket!
Boy, was I mad! I was so furious that I took a clothes hanger, charged straight at my child who was happily playing with his toy, and give him a good spanking! He merely cried but not asking for mercy, except a short explanation:

“Dad, I was hungry and there wasn’t anymore leftover rice. But you were not back yet, hence I wanted to cook some instant noodles. But I remembered you reminding me not to touch or use the gas stove without any adults around, hence I turned on the shower and used the hot water from the bathroom to cook the noodles. One is for you and the other is for me. However, I was afraid that the noodles will turn cold, so I hid it under the blanket to keep it warm till you return. But I forgot to remind you ‘cos I was playing with my toys…I am sorry Dad…”

At that moment, tears were starting to run down my cheeks…but I didn’t want my son to see his dad crying so I dashed into the bathroom and cried with the shower head on to mask my cries. After that episode, I went towards my son to give him a tight hug and applied medication on him, while coaxing him to sleep. Then, it was time to clear up the mess on the bed. When everything was done and well past midnight, I passed my son’s room, and saw that he was still crying, not from the pain on his little buttock, but from looking at the photograph of his beloved mummy.

A year has passed since the episode, I have tried, in this period, to focus on giving him both the love of his dad and mum, and to attend to most of his needs. And soon, he is turning seven, and will be graduating from kindergarten. Fortunately, the incident did not leave a lasting impression on his childhood memories and he is still happily growing up.

However, not so long ago, I hit my boy again, with much regret. This time, his kindergarten teacher called, informing me of my son’s absence from school. I took off early from work and went home, expecting him to explain. But he wasn’t to be found, so I went around our house, calling out his name and eventually found him outside a stationery shop, happily playing computer games. I was fuming, brought him home and whack the hell out of him. He did not retaliate, except to say, ‘I am sorry, Dad’. But after much probing, I realized that it was a ‘Talent Show’ organized by his school and the invite is for every student’s mummy. And that was the reason for his absence as he has no mummy…..

Few days after the caning, my son came home to tell me, the kindergarten has recently taught him how to read and write. Since then, he has kept to himself and stayed in his room to practice his writing, which I am sure, would make my wife proud, if she was still around. ‘cos he makes me proud too!

Time passes by very quickly, and soon another year has passed. It’s winter, and its Christmas time. Everywhere the Christmas spirit is in every passer-by…Christmas carols and frantic shoppers….but alas, my son got into another trouble. When I was about to knock off from the day’s work, the post office called. Due to the peak season, the post master was also on an edgy mood. He called to tell me that my son has attempted to post several letters with no addressee. Although I did make a promise never to hit my son again, I couldn’t help but to hit him as I feel that this child of mine is really beyond control. Once again, as before, he apologized, ‘ I’m sorry, Dad’ and no additional reason to explain. I pushed him towards a corner, went to the post office to collect the letters with no addressee and came home, and angrily questioned my son on his prank, during this time of the year.
His answer, amidst his sobbing, was : The letters were for Mummy.

My eyes grew teary, but I tried to control my emotions and continued to ask him: ” But why did u post so many letters, at one time?” My son’s reply was: ” I have been writing to mummy for a long time, but each time I reach out for the post box, it was too high for me, hence I was not able to post the letters. But recently, when I went back to the postbox, I could reach it and I sent it all at once…”

After hearing this, I was lost. Lost at not knowing what to do, what to say……
I told my son, ” Son, mummy is in the heavenly kingdom, so in future, if you have anything to tell her, just burn the letter and it will reach mummy. My son, on hearing this, was much pacified and calm, and soon after, he was sleeping soundly. On promising that I will burn the letters on his behalf, I brought the letters outside, but couldn’t help opening the letter before they turn to ash.

And one of the letters broke my heart….

Dear Mummy,
I miss you so much! Today, there was a ‘Talent Show’ in school, and the school invited all mothers for the show. But you are not around, so I did not want to participate as well. I did not tell Dad about it as I was afraid that Dad would start to cry and miss you all over again. Dad went around looking for me, but in order to hide my sadness, I sat in front of the computer and started playing games at one of the shops. Dad was furious, and he couldn’t help it but scolded and hit me, but I did not tell him the real reason. Mummy, everyday I see Dad missing you and whenever he think of you, he is so sad and often hide and cry in his room. I think we both miss you very very much. Too much for our own good I think. But Mummy, I am starting to forget your face. Can you please appear in my dreams so that I can see your face and remember you? I heard that if you fall asleep with the photograph of the person whom you miss, you will see the person in your dreams. But mummy, why haven’t you appear?

After reading the letter, I cant stop sobbing. ‘cos I can never replace the irreplaceable gap left behind by my wife….

For the females with children:
Don’t do so much overtime. If you cannot finish the work, it must be some kind of problems within the company, and it is not your sole problem. Feedback to your boss. Endless overtime may not necessary be the answer to the problem. Take care of your health so that you can treasure and take care of your little precious.

For the married men:
Drink less, smoke less, cos nothing can replace your good health, not even business nor clients.
Try thinking this way, are you able to work till your clients are totally dependent on you? or your boss is totally dependent on you? In this society, no one is indispensable.
Take care of your health, so that you can take care of your little precious and your loved ones.

For those singles out there:
Beauty lies in loving yourself first.
With confidence and loving yourself, you will see the beauty in other things around you. You will be able to work better and happier. Don’t let your health be affected by your work or your boss, so nothing matters more than your well being.

Every time I go home from work, the very first thing I ask from God is to give me a peace of mind. And during the weekend, I will try to spend some time to be alone listening to music or meditate or read book. It’s a simple thing that I enjoy a lot.

However, sometimes I prefer to go out to explore the world especially my lovely Penang state. Many months ago, I joined my friends to an island off the coast of Bukit Tambun, Seberang Prai, Penang.

It’s the Pulau Aman. Literally translated to Peaceful Island.

pulau aman entrance

Pulau Aman is a small Malay fishing Village. To reach Pulau Aman, we drove all the way from Penang island to Batu Kawan in mainland. We past by the Batu Kawan Stadium and followed the signboard to jetty. If you are lost, ask the people around for direction. Anyway, it’s easy to reach the jetty. Do not worry, you will not get lost.

pulau aman entrance

We were at the jetty at 10.30am and bought a two ways boat trip that cost RM 6 per person.

DSC_0152

Pulau Aman is not far away from the jetty and it’s very visible from far.

DSC_0147

It was a very hot day. To those who plan to visit the island, get prepared umbrella or cap to protect yourself if you want to walk around the island.

DSC_0353

From the Pulau Aman jetty, we walked to the much talked about Restaurant Terapung Pulau Aman.

restaurant terapung

It’s at this restaurant, the mouth watering seafood are served.

restaurant pulau aman

As usual, we called for the mee udang, either goreng or rebus style. The taste is not bad but I can’t say it’s very good. It’s the prawns freshness and big in size that caught my attention.

mee udang pulau aman

At the same time, we ordered the freshly caught prawn mantis and crabs from the fisherman. The seafood really looks superb fresh and juicy…

DSC_0242

Just take a look at this little creature… wakkaaa…

DSC_0216

And the gang…

DSC_0218

After taken our lunch, we went for sightseeing albeit under the hot sun but windy day. Coconut trees greeted us along the coast and there’s a few nice chalets at one part of the island.

DSC_0269

I believed the chalet is a nice place to group a bunch of friends for BBQ at night. DSC_0278

After some sightseeing, I decided to search for ‘siput’. It reminds me of my childhood time in Malay village. And once awhile I went to Teluk Bahang Malay Village for the siput as well. Fun and lively life.

DSC_0338 DSC_0349

We ended our tour with mak cik’s ice kacang that came with lot of peanuts. Love it.

Pulau Aman is indeed a real peaceful area. No car, no noise pollution. Windy and the natural surrounding is still virgin( I hope I am right). The seafood is definitely very fresh and a must try!

So check it out for yourself at Pulau Aman!

A visit to foot reflexology, spa and massage centre is a norm for many of us( especially for men). And that’s the reason why there are more and more banners and billboards advertising foot reflexology, spa and massage centre at certain strategic location in Penang.

photo

If you stay or work in the mainland, you will notice several spa around the area. And if you pay more attention you will come across some advertising boards or banners promoting spa and massage centre for ladies and men.

But little did I know that there is such a thing that call ‘food reflexology’ and that piece of board has been there for months or even years..

photo1

Looks like it’s the food reflexology trend…forget about your foot….food has top the list..

Guys, I’m back. It has been a long silence from me since June. My apologies as I tried to recollect my missing pieces due to work related. I was busy for most of the time and when I had some time I prefer to think nothing.

Well… for a start, let me share with you a song. A lovely song that I accidentally stumbled in youtube.

End of last month, I was at the Penang Floral Fest 2009 in Botanical Garden.  I was not there to check out the flowers but to brush up my photography skills. Armed with my new babe -  the Tamron lens 17mm- 55mm F2.8, I went around the place to take some nice flowers pictures.

Before I show you the flowers pictures, let me introduce you guys our Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng’s youngest son….Spotted him during the opening ceremony of the Penang Floral Fest 2009.

Is he cute?

I like the colour of this flower a lot.

The upper part of this flower is too bright. Else, the picture will look nicer.

In my opinion, this picture is too blurry.. Please take a look at the rest of the pictures and comment further.. thanks.

I am wondering whether I can do that as well or only applicable for VVIP ( I guess you know who is the car owner)?

USM 2009 intake screwed up!

On 29th May, my sis informed me that she was accepted by USM to pursue her further studies. I was happy as she will be staying in Penang with us instead of living far apart from the family. But somehow her excitement was cut short when she found out her name was not in the USM accepted list anymore. That happened on yesterday.

DSC_0078This morning, she went to USM to get clarification from the officer in charge. To her horror and many others, it was confirmed that she was not the chosen one. Apparently, the computer system screwed up. Only those who received sms from USM are considered successfully accepted into the university.

I was there right after lunch hours. At that time, Ng Wei Aik the political secretary of Lim Guan Eng was having press conference. Many other parents and students were waiting anxiously, hoping for the best.

After an hour of waiting, YB Lim Kit Siang appeared and was directed into the “Bilik Taklimat” for another round of discussion and press conference with the vice chancellor.

The meeting went thru very fast and soon many of us found out that the latest list is the correct one.

DSC_0088

Those who didn’t receive the sms will not be accepted into USM. They will be in the big pool of students to be picked by UPU in coming weeks. It’s really very screw up!

DSC_0084 DSC_0096

For me, I just don’t understand why such an issue can happen at the first place. It had created a lot of emotional stress to my sis and the rest affected by this issue.

Malaysia APEX University is a laughing stock to the rest of the world!

Lately, my friends and I tried out bachata rueda dance. Bachata Rueda dance requires 3 or 4 couples to dance in a circle and it’s quite fun to dance with friends.

At that time, I used to dance 2 or 3 times per week. Then, I stopped for awhile after I took up a new job. 3 weeks ago I went back to the bachata dance class and holly shit… I’m still in love with it. In fact, I just finished a class 2 days ago.

So how many of you are actually taking up bachata dance? Mind to share?

Or maybe learn to dance other type of dances like salsa, belly dancing?

Tai Keh ho….! ( Good day, everyone)

Kiah Na Jit, Souh Ti, ai kon lang eh penang hokkien waah…( Today, I will like to talk about our penang hokkien dialect).

The above is the penang hokkien dialect and the translation in English. It’s not hard to learn Penang Hokkien if you always mix with Chinese Penangites. Most of them speak Penang hokkien – the rojak hokkien that over the years had developed into a unique dialect. Yes, I said rojak(mix up) because we have borrow many Malays words and other languages into Penang hokkien dialect.

We call sampah, sampah which is a Malay word. We call batu, batu not chiok kiah. Again, another Malay word. More than 10 years back when I was in secondary school, I used to call one of my friends- “mempersiasuikan” whenever he did things without thinking. Sia sui means shameful. The “memper…kan” is the Malay “imbuhan” to strengthen the word. Both words when add together means shameful as well. It’s just the mixture of words that we- Penangites use.

This morning, after sent my car for service at Kampung Jawa, I went to a nearby coffee shop or what Malaysians  called kopitiam for breakfast. After ordered my all time favourite of hokkien mee soup, I sat there thinking of what to order for my drink.

image Most of the time, I will just order o peng ( black ice coffee) but this morning, I wasn’t sure what to order. Maybe I am too choosy..wakkakaa…but you can’t blame me right? Penang is not only famous for food but for drinks too especially the o peng in the old kopitiam by the aunties and uncles. Forget about Starbucks. I don’t like Starbucks because it makes my heart pumps very fast…Some more, it’s damn expensive for a cup of coffee…so for those Starbucks lover, don’t flame me yeah…I’m merely saying out what I don’t like and like.

Let’s go back to our topic of the day.

What is your choice of drinks when you are in Penang kopitiam?

O Peng? Teh Peng? Milo Peng? Bali Peng? Nes Peng? Kickkapo? Cham Peng? lau hau peng ( nutmeg) ? soya drink? gu leng peng? tau jui?

The forgotten video of Susan Boyle

Check out the below video of Susan Boyle 23 years ago. She was just 25 years old…and I was just a kid then. She sang “ I don’t Know How To Love Him” at her parents’ golden wedding party.

She sings really well….and do you think Britain’s Got Talent? Yes, I absolutely agree.

However, there seems to be a lot of pressure on her from her recent phenomenal fame. Susan Boyle’s brother is asking her to quit Britain’s Got Talent and get a record immediately.

What do you think? Shall Susan Boyle quits Britain’s Got Talent?

If you are living or holidaying in Penang and love to watch sunset ( just like me) then sunset bistro in Batu Ferringhi offers the best place to watch sunset.

sunset bistro batu ferringhi

Sunset bistro is located behind the Ferringhi Garden and just next to Parkroyal Hotel. If you are driving, just turn right after Pakroyal Hotel into a small lane. Soon, you will reach a T-junction at the end of the road. Turn left and immediately a signboard of sunset bistro greets you.

Britain’s Got Talent: Susan Boyle can sing I dreamed a dream

Britain really got a lot of talent. The latest discovery of Susan Boyle in the Britain’s Got Talent really amazed me. She is 47 years old. A Scottish church volunteer. And she can sings well.

Honestly, I don’t expect someone like her to sing well. I mean at her age at 47 years old, she might just be another contestant who dream big but never makes it. But I was wrong. Totally wrong. The moment Susan Boyle sang I dreamed a dream from Les Miserables, I knew she is another star in the making.

Check out Susan Boyle at Britain’s Got Talent video above ( the embedded video is disable, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxPZh4AnWyk instead) and look at Simon’s face when Susan Boyle started to sing. He couldn’t believe Susan Boyle can sing so well. And same goes to me.

Never judge a book by its cover.

Forget about the sexy dance or robot dance.

Susan Boyle will absolutely be a superstar soon after Britain’s Got Talent show.

Oh yeah…Susan Boyle has a fan site at  http://www.susan-boyle.com/. Check it out.

And check out the below too..

2) The 16 years old Charice Pempengco – AMAZING VOICE!

Yes, that Ah Niu who was born in Penang. As a Penangite,I’m very proud of him for bringing together Lee Sinje, Victor Wong, Fish Leong and Gary Chaw Ge-all are Malaysians for Ice Kacang Puppy Love.

Ice Kacang Puppy Love is based on Ah Niu’s personal childhood experience in Penang. Datuk Seri Najib, what can you do for Penang?

As a Penangite, I’m still skeptical of what’s in store for Penang from the newly installed Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

So far, he has released 13 detainees from ISA detention, lift up the ban on two opposition news publications – PKR’s Suara Keadilan and PAS’ Harakah, promised to conduct a comprehensive review of the Internal Security Act and urge for One Malaysia.

It’s a good start but then…

Let us be cautious of the positive start from Najib. After all, Tun Abdullah as a Penangite didn’t do much for Penang (except maybe for Kepala Batas town).

Yeah…I’m still skeptical of Najib but was hoping for Lim Guan Eng to do his best for Penang.

What say you?

ops…just read in Malaysiakini, MCA tells Najib to create 2nd PM post. Is it necessary?

Awesome! I have never come across such a good eBook before.

And I predict it will become very popular.

It presents a strategy for selling any type of product using methods which will never become obsolete.

The Ultimate SuperTip, written by Harvey Segal (Mr SuperTips) is neatly set out, easy to follow, written without hype and not littered with annoying links.

And the cost of this book ?

It’s free !

And it ends with an amazing idea for making you money from the book itself.

I’d rush to get this book now if I were you at HERE.

And again, if you are not satisfy with the eBook, you may want to check out my previous post on the free eBook sites.

As a Penangite, I love food especially the hawker food. A simple economy fried bee hoon will makes me smile. That’s me. I don’t fancy restaurant food though from time to time I do hunt for it.  And just like most Penangite, I know a lot of good food outlet, hawker centre, nice and cozy restaurant in Penang. But sometimes, my mind may go completely blank at what and where to eat.

A times like this, food blog comes in handy. I have bookmarked a number of food blog to share with you. Mostly on Penang foods.

image

1. www.penangtuapui.com

The Penang tuapui or literally translated to the Penang fatty has done a remarkable job in promoting the Penang foods. You name the food, they have it in their blog. They have tasted lot of foods ranging from hawker food to restaurant. What I like about them is their straight forward comment and they are amazingly good in searching for foods in every corner of Penang streets. Highly recommended blog!

Guess who is she?

image

Nik Nur Madihah Nik Mohd. Kamal, a student of Sekolah Menengah Arab Maahad Muhammadi (Perempuan) Kota Bharu Kelantan is the country SPM best student.

She scored 19A1s and 1A2. That’s amazing considering that she comes from a poor family.

image

Her daily expenses is RM 5 only. RM 4 for bus transportation and RM 1 for herself.

It really makes me think how she achieved such a good result. I really salute her and may her achievement inspired all of us.

If there is a will, there’s a way.

What do you think?
